Hot Licks Roasting On An Open Fire

There are a few worthy gigs of note this week in Leeds and the surrounding, so button up, dress warm and hit the pit!

8th December - T E Morris (Her Name is Calla), Tom Ragsdale (Worried About Satan), Fran Minney, Pile Of Clothes @ The Fox and Newt, Leeds

The final chance to see Mr Morris of Her Name Is Calla as a solo artist - prepare for this to be emotional - plus a regular visitor to these climes, Mr Ragsdale, and new sounds from Fran and Pile. It will be touching and very... seasonal.

8th December - Vitamin, Actor, Headrow @ Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Or if you'd prefer something a bit lighter, poppier and fizzy as a pint of Prosecco, why not catch Vitamin in their final Brothers and Sisters residential at the Brudenell, joined by the intriguing Actor and the clearly very Leeds Headrow.

9th December - Idlewild @ Unity Works, Wakefield

Venture out of town for out of towners Idlewild, who have now been going for twenty years - I think they're going to make it. On the back of their latest release, Everything Ever Written, this will see the Edinburgh based band back to full strength and full of beans. Should be good.

10th December - Ho99o9 @ Brudenell Social Club, Leeds

Who would have thought that death metal and hip hop would mix? Actually, yeah, they're both pretty full on so... why the devil not? This is going to be furious, I can vouch for that, and I guarantee that you will lose it to these guys - just wait until theOGM does the back flip! John Carpenter with beats and riffs - can you dig it?

Right. You have no excuse. Go out and have fun.
